Balochistan is described as the richest province with the smallest available resource base. Out of the total minerals being mined from Pakistan, around 70 percent are from Balochistan. It has a 740 km coast line with huge potential in tourism and sheries, as well as two international borders with Afghanistan and Iran. But the moot question is, why is it the poorest and least developed of the provinces?
