I’m often asked by young people how to get ready for the CSS exam; I tell them to prepare themselves smartly with determination, but the real decision is with Allah SWT as to whom He picks to be tested. It’s a tightrope until you finish and retire. If you have been kind to others, Allah SWT always remains kind to you. If you chose this career for the sake of honor, stick to it till the end. You shall have to sacrifice a lot, so be willing to sacrifice and be willing to stand firm. It is often said that nothing ever comes easy when you are trying to build towards your dreams.

Since CSS is a competitive exam that hinges on a lot of uncertainty, it is advisable to have a plan B in mind in case plan A fails. Secondly, be consistent and have grit, as these qualities are essential for achieving success, as there’re no shortcuts. Thirdly, I believe that new aspirants should also seek out teachers who have expertise in the relevant subjects. I hold the view that, for phenomenal success, two things are essential: the prayers and support of your loved ones, and your own perseverance, grit, and faith.

Before you embark on the journey of competitive exams, make sure that you are doing it for the right reasons. Be set to face setbacks and challenges along the way, but never give up on your dreams. Surround yourself with supportive people who believe in you, and celebrate your victories along the way. As Khalil Gibran once said, “Out of suffering have emerged strong souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” Your struggles will not go in vain. They are shaping you into the strong and resilient person you are meant to be.
