Rig Veda is the oldest of the four Vedas. It is a religious text, composed in Sanskrit, that originated in ancient India (1800-1100 BCE.)
- There are four Vedas: the Rigveda, the Yajurveda, the Samaveda and the Atharvaveda.
- The Rigveda (ऋग्वेद; Ṛgveda), or Rig Veda, is the oldest of the four Hindu Sanskrit Vedas, the most sacred texts in Hinduism.
